The All Canadian Pet Services Network offers a distance education Pet First Aid program to our members. Topics covered include Safety and Prevention, Muzzling and Transportatio, Medical Conditions, Emergencies (burns, poisoning, exposure, woulds, eye injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, trauma, shock, choking and seizures) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. The pet care professional must complete a test of the materials covered. Future plans include classroom instruction with live animals and CPR tools. Lara Willis, the author, is a Registered Practical Nurse (for humans) and is currently working towards a diploma in Animal Sciences. The text is veterinarian approved. New!
