Members of the All Canadian Pet Services Network have the option of undergoing an accreditation program to receive their "accreditation". In recognition of the fact that continuing education and professional development is an ongoing process, the accreditation program has been divided into three seperate levels.

 

Membership in the ACPSN
Commitment to abide by the ACPSN professional standards
Business Registration
Insurance & Bonding
References from clients (for existing professionals)
References/support from other professionals in the pet care/animal health industry (for new professionals)

Pet First Aid
Membership with an animal welfare or advocacy organization or membership through donation to any provincial or national SPCA
Completion of an Emergency Plan
Participation in a fundraising event for a humane society or animal charity (i.e Paws in the Park)
or 6 hours Volunteer work with a non profit animal oriented organization.
Participation in our Client Satisfaction Survey Program

Completion of 1 continuing education course (with certificate) or 3 non-certificate seminars / programs (details located in members area)


Completion of 40 hours volunteer / community service in the animal industry
